What we collect

What you type into a form. If you send us an event or catering inquiry, or apply for a job, we receive what you filled in — your name, your email or phone, and your message. We only ever receive what you chose to write.

Anonymous visit counts. We use Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool, to count visits — which pages get read, roughly what kind of device, roughly what region. It sets no cookies, does not identify you, and cannot follow you to other websites.

A second, cookieless visit count from our host. Cloudflare, the company that serves this site, also runs its own Web Analytics here. Like Umami it uses no cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you to other websites. It is switched on at the network level rather than by a script we wrote, which is why it is listed separately.

Connection data, by the company that serves this site. Cloudflare delivers these pages and, like any web host, briefly handles technical details of the connection such as an IP address, in order to send you the page and to block attacks.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information, and we never have.
• We do not run advertising trackers or ad-network cookies. This site permits scripts from only two outside addresses — the two visit counters named above — and the browser blocks every other one.
• We do not build a profile of you, and we do not share your information with anyone who would.
• We do not send you unrelated email. If you write to us, you hear back about that.

How we use it

We use what you send to answer you and to arrange what you asked about — an event, a catering order, a job application. Job applications are read by the people who do the hiring. That is the whole of it.

The anonymous visit counts tell us which pages are worth improving. They are never connected to anything you typed.

Who else touches it

Form messages are delivered to our own inbox by an email service, the same way any message reaches an inbox. Hosting is Cloudflare. Analytics is Umami. These companies handle the information only to provide that service to us — none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and applications live in our email, and we keep them only as long as they are useful — an answered inquiry, a filled position. Ask us to delete yours and we will. Anonymous visit counts hold no personal information to delete.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Texas residents have these rights under state law, and we extend them to anyone who asks — it costs us nothing to be fair about it. Write to the address below and we will answer.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with information, this page is updated at the same time, and the date at the top changes. We do not update it quietly afterwards.
