Accessibility Statement

What we aim for

We build this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard most of the web is measured by. We aim at it deliberately rather than claiming to have certified against it — an audit is a point in time, and a website changes.

What we have actually done

• Text is measured against its real background for contrast — including type set over the moving video on the home page, which automated tools do not check.
• Every part of the site can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, the animations stop. Nothing moves that you did not ask to move.
• Photographs carry written descriptions, so a screen reader describes the plate rather than skipping it.
• The whole site exists in English and Spanish, and each page declares its language so assistive technology pronounces it correctly.
• Menu prices are transcribed as real text, never trapped inside a picture of a menu.

Where we know we fall short

We have not commissioned an independent audit, and we will not pretend otherwise. Parts of the site that link out — an ordering platform, a map, a social profile — belong to those companies and we do not control how accessible they are.

Tell us when it does not work

If something on this site is hard to use with assistive technology, we would genuinely rather hear it than not. Write to us, or call the dining room and say so — either reaches a person. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it and reply.

If you cannot use this website at all, please just call us. We will take your event booking, read you the menu, or take your application over the phone.
